Ron Keeler, D.V.M
Ron grew up on his family farm where the clinic is now located. He graduated from Pretty Prairie High in 1986, received a BS in Animal Science in 1992, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 from Kansas State University. He enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and lives by the motto "If it has a heart beat and isn't a human, I will be its doctor!" He is constantly mentoring young people interested in veterinary medicine. In his spare time he enjoys all different types of fishing and hunting as well as watching his kids play sports. His new hobby is creating custom hardwoods with his new sawmill.
Michelle grew up in McPherson, Kansas. She graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Business. Michelle and Ron are proud of their three children, Clay, Haley, and CeCe (all pictured below). Michelle is the full time office manager of our very busy clinic. We often consider the clinic our second home and all our team is family. Michelle enjoys photography, horticulture, and art projects. She is pictured here with the family's African Grey parrots, Cybil and Homer.
Julie McCoy, D.V.M
Julie grew up on a farm in St. Paul, Kansas. She is the oldest of seven children. She received her BS in Biology from Wichita State in 2010 and her DVM from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She joined the NVS team June 1st, 2014. Her and her husband Mike welcomed a son on July 9th, 2016 named Lucas Michael. They also have three dogs: Scooter, Bruno, & Cheddar; & two horses: Sugar & Bob. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, sewing and going back to Southeast Kansas to visit family.
Jennifer grew up in McPherson, Kansas. She joined the NVS team in May of 2009. Jenn and her husband Brian have a very active 4 year-old son Michael, who loves his farm kitties and yellow lab Lucy. They also just welcomed a baby boy named Daniel who was born on March 5th, 2017! In her spare time...I dont think she has any...she still enjoys gardening, canning, and riding 4-wheelers and the jeep with her 3 men. Jennifer loves spending time with friends and family.
Hayley joined the NVS team on September 18th, 2017.
Katlyn joined the NVS team in September of 2016. She is an avid hog showman who participates in many shows around the USA. She owns many types of animals including pigs, horses, cattle, goats, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Katlyn is currently a freshman at Hutchinson Community College.
Amber joined the NVS team on September 20th, 2017. Amber grew up in Meade KS. She attended Colby Community College Veterinary Technician School and graduated in 2015.
Gabriel "Gabe" Kruse
Gabe is a freshman in college at Hutchinson Community College. His hobbies include riding his 4-wheeler, competitive mounted shooting.
Clay is the son of Ron and Michelle Keeler. He is proud to announce that he was recently accepted into Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. This has been a life-long goal. We are all extremely proud of him. Clay is a 2013 graduate of Pretty Prairie High School & a 2015 graduate of Hutchinson Community College. He has graduated with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science in 2017 at Kansas State University. He has spent his whole life working in the clinic in all different aspects and will follow in his father's footsteps. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working on his mustang, as well as riding/repairing ATV's.
Haley is the daughter of Ron and Michelle Keeler. She is a junior at Pretty Prairie High School. She enjoys competing in volleyball, basketball, track, FFA, and forensics. Haley spent her summer prepping animals and assisting in the surgery room. She has numerous pets including Rickie Bobbie, a sweet hedgehog.
Ciara "CeCe" Keeler
CeCe is the daughter of Ron and Michelle Keeler. She is currently a freshman at Pretty Prairie High School. She enjoys babysitting and spending time with Addie, our neighbor girl. She also loves her time with the clinic kids, Michael, Lucas, Daniel, & Marley. CeCe's interests include golf, crafts, archery, clarinet, and caring for her pig Daisy Mae. During the summer, CeCe helps out at the clinic with day-to-day procedures, organizing and as little cleaning as possible. :)
